Welcome to the U.S. Army Garrison Benelux!
We are made up of an integrated team of Soldiers, civilian employees, and family members who support a variety of American communities and customers.
USAG Benelux is comprised of three subordinate garrisons which provide Army base operations supporting more than 17,000 Americans across the garrison’s seven-nation footprint, the largest and most diverse within the Benelux’s parent-Installation Management Command, European region. Our team relies on a large number of host nation employees both from Belgium and The Netherlands. Without that force of excellence, continuity, and diversity, our efforts to establish an American community of excellence would not succeed.
Among the U.S. Army Garrisons in Europe, the US Army Garrison Benelux is unique. We are the only Garrison working to support NATO, and we serve the widest geographic area: Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, the northern German states, France, Poland and the United Kingdom. Our three main areas of activity are in support of the NATO headquarters in Brussels (our U.S. Army Garrison Brussels); Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (Chievres/SHAPE Garrison); and Joint Force Command Brunssum (the U.S. Army Garrison Schinnen). All of these geographically dispersed activities form one team and one effort.
USAG Benelux has much to offer when it comes to quality of life facilities, shopping and medical facilities, government and leased housing, child care facilities and schools ... there is so much to discover. Please browse through our home page and associated links and discover the many excellent opportunities and facilities within our garrison.
In addition to the military facilities available here, the USAG Benelux is an ideal location for trips and visits to nearby places of interest. Belgium, The Netherlands, and the entire European continent are rich with history and easily accessible. Within just a few hours, you can visit such great places as Paris, Venice, the Swiss Alps, Austria, Amsterdam and many others.
Again, welcome to your community and thank you for what you do everyday to defend liberty and preserve our way of life. We really do look forward to getting to know you, and we hope you take advantage of all that this unique assignment has to offer!
Our vision is to be the U.S. service member’s community of choice, with premier services and facilities sustaining U.S. personnel in and in support of NATO.
Our mission is to provide Army base operations for joint military and interagency communities to support U.S. personnel in and in support of NATO throughout our seven-nation footprint.
