Recently, a number of questions have arisen concerning the “priority to the right” rules applicable in the BENELUX. Authorized Swimming Areas in Belgium: General rules:

Swimming, bathing is forbidden in rivers, lakes, etc…, except in designated areas with a trained lifeguard.
On the coast, swimming is forbidden, except in designated areas with a trained lifeguard, and under green flag conditions (green flag means safe swimming).
